NO TAKERS FOR CLOSED NEILLSVILLE RESTAURANT

Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

A popular, but short-lived, Neillsville restaurant is probably headed back on the market.

Doc’s Diner, located at 432 Hewett Street, was foreclosed on by Mid Wisconsin Bank back in May. It came up for a Sheriff’s Sale last Wednesday. No one attended.

The judgment of foreclosure was in the amount of $214,000.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, the opening bid at the sale was $71,500, but the buyer would also assume back taxes and other liens.

There is another mortgage on the property, so it will be up for another sale in Chippewa County.
