It was hot and wet summer for our region.

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has compiled their summer data. Meteorological summer runs from June 1st to the end of August.

2010 will go down as the 8th wettest summer in Neillsville’s 113 years of records. 17.6 of rain fell during the three summer months. The wettest summer was in 1980 when 21.5 inches fell.

The average temperature this summer was 68.5 degrees. That the 32nd warmest on record.
