KOULA WANTS CASE THROWN OUT
Thursday, September 2nd, 2010 -- 2:51 pm
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

A Neillsville graduate accused of killing his parents for profit wants the case thrown out for lack of evidence.

Eric Koula’s attorney filed a motion Wednesday to have homicide charges dismissed, saying no physical evidence links Eric Koula to the crime. According to the La Crosse Tribune, Attorney James Koby argues there are no witnesses who saw the defendant or his vehicle at or near the crime scene, and no evidence that the defendant's demeanor was suspicious in any way immediately after the time he would have shot his parents.

A judge entered two not-guilty pleas on Koula’s behalf during an arraignment yesterday.

A state agent revealed last week that Eric Koula lost more than $1 million trading stocks online - money his parents had given to him.
