The economic downturn has certainly forced a lot of area residents to look for new jobs. Chippewa Valley Technical College in Neillsville is reminding people they offer services to help make them more employable.

Amanda Hediger heads up the program at the Neillsville center, located in the Industrial Park.

"Our programs are all free that we have for academic services," Hediger explains.

CVTC also offers free instruction on computer-related topics, writing, math, science and study skills. The classes can be taken on your schedule.

"We have really great software where a student sits down at a computer and it's interactive and teaches them as they go. And we're there, too, to help if they have difficulties," she says. "You just come in when you can, when we're open. We have students working on a variety of things at any given time."

For more information, you should contact Amanda at 715-743-3965, ext. 3.
