While much of the state is experiencing a big jump in property values, many area counties are lagging well behind the state average.

Wisconsin property values increased nearly nine and a-half percent over last year -- the biggest jump since 1980.

Clark County’s property values increased 4.93-percent over the past year; that ranks 66th out of the state’s 72 counties. Elsewhere around the area:

Marathon County’s property value jumped 6.64% (50th)
Taylor County’s property value jumped 4.42% (67th)
Jackson County’s property value jumped 4.32% (68th)
Wood County’s property value jumped only 3.47% (70th)

Shawano County had the slowest-paced property growth in the state (3.27%). Adams County had the highest property value jump (16.76%).
