BEAR ATTACKS GOATS NEAR GRANTON

Folks in the Town of Grant may want to be on the lookout.
The DNR confirms a black bear attacked a family’s goats on Ridge Road over the weekend.
One goat was killed; another was injured.
DNR warden Adam Hanna says it’s pretty rare for a black bear to kill livestock, but they are very resourceful eaters.
The USDA has set traps for the animal, which will probably euthanized if caught.
