FRANKLIN WINS STATE SUMMER BASEBALL TITLE

Franklin captured the 2010 State Summer Baseball Championship with an 11-4 win over runner-up West Bend West in the final Thursday at Bukolt Park in Stevens Point.
Thursday started with a quarterfinal matchup between Waukesha West and Germantown that was won by Waukesha West 2-1. In the Semi-Finals:
West Bend West (35-2) 7, West Salem (28-6) 5
Franklin (30-14) 5, Waukesha West (28-7)
With their championship win, Franklin finishes their season 31-14.
