There’s still plenty of clean up to do, but local officials held a meeting yesterday to review the July 14th tornado and discuss lessons learned.

Participants from the following organizations were in attendance: Clark Electric Cooperative, Town of Levis, Town of Dewhurst, Town of Loyal, Lake Arbutus Association, WI Department of Natural Resources, Clark Co Sheriff’s Department, Clark Co Highway, Clark Co Emergency Management and Wisconsin Emergency Management.

Municipalities and the electric cooperatives combined have damage losses of approximately $200,000. This includes debris clearance, protective measures, road systems and public utilities. The damage totals do not include private property losses, which were probably much greater.
