COPS: SON KILLED KOULAS

Authorities have arrested the son of a slain La Crosse area couple and say he committed the grisly murders, waited a few days, and then called authorities to report he discovered their bodies while doing a welfare check.
40-year-old Eric G. Koula was arrested Thursday on two counts of First Degree Intentional Homicide and a charge of forgery. The charges stem from the May 24th homicide of Dennis and Merna Koula, who used to live in Neillsville. Merna served on the City Council.
La Crosse County officials will hold a press conference this morning.
A chilling side note, we understand Eric was just in Neillsville over the weekend where he participated in the Neillsville Country Club Invitational.
