CLARK CO. UNEMPLOYMENT PICTURE SAME AS LAST YEAR

Clark County’s unemployment rate jumped seven-tenths of a percent in June, and remains the same as it was last year at this time.
According to new numbers released by the state, Clark County’s unemployment rate in June was 9.2%. That’s the 19th highest rate among the state’s 72 counties, and up from 8.5% in May.
Elsewhere in the area, Wood County ranked 35th with a rate of 8.4%, Marathon County ranked 27th with a rate of 8.7%, Jackson County ranked 39th with a rate of 8.2% and Eau Claire County ranked 64th with a rate of 6.7%.
