BUSY MEETING FOR NEILLSVILLE COUNCIL

Neillsville’s City Council will meet tonight at 7 p.m.
A pretty full agenda tonight.
They will discuss the possible expansion of the City’s taxi service and a possible endorsement of high-speed rail coming through Eau Claire.
They could act on a Police and Fire Commission recommendation that a residency requirement for firefighters be eased to allow those living outside the city limits, but within the fire district, to apply.
They’ll also discuss a couple of troubled properties. One located at 211 Hewett Street, the other downtown at 514 Hewett Street. The property at 211 Hewett Street will likely be claimed by the county this week on a tax deed.
The Council will discuss their options tonight.
