DIALING CHANGES SET FOR SATURDAY

Extra digits will be needed to make a local call in northern Wisconsin's 715 area code Saturday.
Gary Evenson of the Wisconsin PSC says, beginning Saturday, callers will need to press the area code plus the regular seven-digit number, even for local calls.
A shortage of 715 phone numbers prompted the PSC to implement an 'overlay' plan. New numbers with a 534 area code can be assigned beginning Aug. 14.
The 715 area code stretches over roughly half the state.
