NURSING HOME EMPLOYEE INVESTIGATED FOR THEFT

Charges could come as early as next week against a 34-year-old Neillsville woman who is under investigation for allegedly stealing a nursing home resident’s credit cards, drivers license and Social Security number.

The woman was an employee at Neillsville Care and Rehab.

The case was turned over to Neillsville authorities on June 11.

The woman no longer works at the facility.

According to Neillsville Police Chief Brad Lindner, the woman took 3 credit cards from a 79-year-old male resident at the facility and rang up thousands of dollars in purchases.

The case remains under investigation and could be referred to the D-A by as early as next week.
