AREA STILL EXPERIENCING 'MODERATE' DROUGHT

Despite receiving some much-needed rain a couple weekends ago, the area remains extremely dry. The National Drought Mitigation Center issued its latest Drought Monitor Thursday morning. It shows most of our listening area is experiencing “moderate drought” conditions. In our area, July 19th represented the peak of the dry period, but conditions are worsening again. The National Weather Service in La Crosse doesn’t forecast any rain until next week.
