MAN EXPECTED TO ENTER PLEA FOR CRASH THAT KILLED INFANT

A plea hearing is scheduled for May 11 for a former Marshfield man accused of killing an infant when his vehicle crashed last summer into an Amish buggy.

Brian Witkus, 50, now resides in Wausau. He is expected to enter a plea of no contest or guilty on a charge of negligent homicide. In return for the plea, a charge homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle will be dismissed.

The crash happened August 12th of last year. Six-week-old Ada Miller of Chili was killed when she and her mother were ejected from the buggy on McMillan Street in Marshfield. Witkus told authorities he had taken two hydrocodone pills the morning of the accident.
