CLARK CO. SQUAD STRUCK IN NEILLSVILLE

There was an accident involving a Clark County squad car and a pick-up truck in the City of Neillsville Thursday.

According to the dispatch log, the accident was reported at around 5:30 p.m. It was located in front of the Family Dollar, on 5th street.

The squad was westbound on 5th when it was struck by a northbound pick-up truck, which entered the intersection from Grand Avenue. Grand Avenue is controlled by stop signs.

The accident is under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol. We understand the deputy was transported to Memorial Medical Center, where he spent the night with non-life threatening injuries.

No names have been released at this time.
