MARINE WITH LOCAL TIES KILLED IN AFGHANISTAN

A former Neillsville student has been killed in Afghanistan.
According to this week’s Clark County Press, Jacob Ross, a Lance Corporal with the U.S. Marines, was killed late last month in the Helmand Province.
The 19-year-old Ross attended kindergarten and 1st grade at Neillsville Elementary. He was residing in Wyoming at the time of his death.
Ross was the grandson of Neillsville resident Sue Sundermeyer.
