EGG PROCESSOR TO PAY FINE

An egg processing company from Abbotsford has agreed to pay a fine after firing a worker because she had an epileptic seizure.
Under the deal, Mr. B's of Abbotsford will pay Nicki Heberle $50,000 and provide anti-discrimination training to its employees.
Heberle was fired after she suffered a seizure while operating a egg-breaking machine in 2007. The termination violated the Americans With Disabilities Act.
