OHIO STATE WINS BIG TEN WOMENS BB TITLE, MEN'S TOURNEY STARTS THURSDAY

Jantel Lavender scored 35 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as No. 10 Ohio State downed Iowa in the Big Ten Womens Championship 66-64. Even for a three-time Big Ten player of the year, it was a big deal. Lavender capped a remarkable second-half comeback by making two free throws with 1.9 seconds. Ohio State is the first team, other than Purdue, to win back-to-back tourney titles since Penn State in 1995 and 1996.
The 2010 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament returns to Indianapolis and Conseco Fieldhouse. This year's tournament will tip off on Thursday, March 11 and the champion will be crowned on Sunday, March 14. Wisconsin, the number 4 seed will play 5th seeded Illinois on Friday in a Quarterfinal matchup.
