LUCHTERHAND TAKES 2ND AT STATE

Sophomore, Damien Luchtherhand of Neillsville took 2nd place at 140 pounds in Division 2 at the recently completed State Individual Wrestling Tournament in Madison. Damien won his first match 2-1 over Ben Thome of Oconto on Friday morning. In the semi-finals on Friday night, Damien decisioned Kyndle Bennett of Delevan-Darian 10-8. In the 140 pound championship Luchterhand was pinned by Mitch Berceau of Luxemburg-Casco. Damien's final record was 47-5. Kyle Wilson of Neillsville finished 6th at 119 pounds and Dan Schoen, wrestling at 189, lost both his matches on Friday.
