The University of Eau Claire is known as the Blugolds. The question is, what the heck is a Blugold?
The University is holding a mascot contest. Students, alumni and others have one week to help choose a mascot for the school.
A 12-member committee, including four students, will select the official mascot, but will consider the survey results.
After reviewing 29 options, the panel has narrowed the field of potential mascots to three: an ox, a voyageur or no mascot at all.
