HEATING COSTS DOWN
Friday, February 12th, 2010 -- 11:29 am
Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

Most people are experiencing a nice break in their home heating costs this winter.

We Energies says their customers costs are down 29% so far this winter.

Warmer weather and lower natural gas prices can be thanked.

Heating costs had risen for four straight winters until falling last year. This would be second straight decline, if it holds up.

We Energies had been forecasting a drop of 14% to 16% for the full winter – and now is forecasting a 20% drop.
