AREA ATHLETES CONTRIBUTE TO WIAC WINS

Some area athletes contributed to their team's success last night in WIAC Women's college basketball. Sophomore Laura Olson (Osseo-Fairchild) had a career high 29 points in leading U.W. Eau Claire past #20 U.W. Stevens Point 80-67. Senior Jodi Lindner (Neills.) tied for a team high with 5 assists along with 5 rebounds and 4 points for the Blugolds. Also last night freshman Sheila Opelt (Neills.) had 7 points in U.W. LaCrosse's 68-51 triumph over U.W. Oshkosh.
