DAR LEADER SAYS TO BE AWARE OF SCAMS

The state leader of the Disabled American Veterans organization says his group would never call soliciting donations and if you’ve received such a call, it’s likely a scam. Joe Anderson says the group only requests donations through mailings that come from national headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio. The organization is reporting people in the area have received calls from scammers asking them for money. If you believe you have received a similar phone call, Johnson requests you call the organization, based in Green Bay, or contact consumer protection or local law enforcement.
