WIN STREAK AT 40 IN ECC FOR NEILLSVILLE GIRLS

The Neillsville Warrior girls won their 40th in a row in the Eastern Cloverbelt last night as they downed Owen-Withee 54-36. Owen-Withee (5-3, 4-2) came out strong in the first quarter leading 17-14. But, Neillsville (7-1, 6-0) went to a man-to-man defense and outscored the Blackhawks 40-19 the rest of the way including 13-0 in the 2nd quarter. Neillsville was led by Caitlyn Courtney with 20pts and Angela Meshnick with 10. Amy Junk led Owen-Withee with 12. Neillsville will look to extend their streak to 41 when they travel to Colby on Friday night. The rest of the girls scores can be found below at the regional sports scores link.
