2009 WAS AN EVENTFUL YEAR FOR FARMERS

2009 didn’t lack ag headlines, and it 2010 will probably be the same.
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau released their annual “Farm Bureau Picks” of the biggest ag issues of the year. The downturn in the ag economy topped this year’s list, followed by the threat to the use value assessment law and passage of the Working Lands Initiative during state budget deliberations last summer. 2010 will not lack for big stories, either. Proposed climate change and water regulations top his list of predictions for 2010. Whatever happens next to an ailing ag economy will also make news.
