U.W. WHITEWATER HEADED TO 5TH STRAIGHT STAGG BOWL APPEARANCE

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater earned its fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Football National Championship Game with a 27-17 victory over Linfield College (Ore.) in Whitewater, Wis., on Dec. 12. The Warhawks (14-0) will meet Mount Union College (Ohio) (14-0) in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl for the fifth straight year in Salem, Va., on Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. (central). The national title contest will be televised live by ESPN2. UW-Whitewater secured the national crown in 2007, while the Purple Raiders earned victories over the Warhawks in 2005, 2006 and 2008.
