SOUTH CENTRAL OPEN!

It’s been a long summer for downtown Marshfield businesses, but things are definitely looking up.
Work on the massive South Central reconstruction project was expected to wrap up Wednesday afternoon, just in time for the annual holiday parade, slated for Thursday night.
State and local officials will celebrate the completion of South Central Avenue at a Street Opening Dedication:
When: Friday, November 20, 2009, 10 a.m.
Where: Sixth Street and South Central Avenue, Marshfield
The $9 million improvement project included the reconstruction of the roadway, intersection improvements, a dedicated bike lane from Wildwood Park to 6th Street, new street lighting, sanitary water and sewer, and crosswalk enhancements.
