NEW PLAYGROUND HAS A MESSAGE
Thursday, November 19th, 2009 -- 1:58 pm Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
A playground at a Jackson County shelter has a special inspiration.
The ribbon was cut Wednesday at the Alisha Sidie Memorial Playground at the Bolton Refuge House in Merrillan.
Alisha was killed by her ex-husband, Doug Sidie, last fall.
According to WQOW-TV, two Black River Falls High School students spear-headed an effort to raise awareness of domestic abuse by raising more than $6,000 for the playground.
