U.W. EAU CLAIRE WRESTLING SEASON WITH NEW HEAD COACH STARTS SATURDAY

The U.W. Eau Claire Blugold wrestling team will get their season underway this Saturday at the Lakeland Duals in Sheboygan. This will be the first event for first year head coach Derek Sikora. Teams involved in the Duals include, Eau Claire, MSOE, Wabash, Trine, North Central, Concordia and Lakeland. Derek is a former Neillsville High School wrestler where he was a State Champion at 152 pounds in 2001 and then while wrestling at U.W. Eau Claire he became the Blugolds only National Champion when he took the title at 165 pounds in 2006. Derek will be hosting a wrestling clinic in Neillsville on November 12th.
