LOCAL BUSINESS EXPANDING BECAUSE OF THE COMMUNITY

The economy might be in a slump, but some local business owners are betting there won’t be a better time to expand.

All Seasons Sports and Archery recently moved out of their downtown location into a brand-new, 10,000 square-foot facility on USH 10, on the city’s west side.

Mike Murphy is the owner of All Seasons. He says the economy actually made this the ideal time to expand.

"Building costs were down. If we were ever going to do it, we figured now was the time," Murphy says. "Hopefully everything keeps going good."

On top of a big showroom, the new facility also includes a huge 40-yard, 3-D range.

Mike says they have a lot of local customers, but a lot of customers come from out of town.

"I appreciate all the local business we do have, but it's just unreal how much out-of-town business (we get)," he says. "People from everywhere come to hunt around Neillsville. We sell stuff to people from everywhere."

The building also includes Apple Valley Bar and Grill, a new restaurant serving lunches and suppers.

Monday was Apple Valley’s first day of business. They’re open daily at 11 a.m.
