ED THOMPSON FOR STATE SENATE?

It looks like folks in southern Clark County will have a choice for the State Senate next year.
Southwestern Clark County is part of a senatorial district currently held by Democrat Katheleen Vinehout, of Alma.
But State Senate Republican Leader Scott Fitzgerald announced Monday that Ed Thompson -- brother of former Gov. Tommy G. Thompson and the 2002 Libertarian candidate for governor -- will run for the state Senate next year as a Republican.
Thompson will make the announcement later this week.
