GREENWOOD VS McDONELL FOR CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

The Greenwood Indians will face the Chippewa Falls McDonell Macks for the girls volleyball Cloverbelt Conference Championship Thursday night in Chippewa Falls. Greenwood finished tied with Colby in the Eastern Cloverbelt after the regular season but won the East via the tiebreaker of head-to-head competition. Greenwood is ranked 13th in Division 4 in the latest wissports.net/coaches poll with a 14-4 overall record. McDonell meanwhile finished unbeaten in the Western Cloverbelt at 8-0 and is #1 in Division 4 according the wissports.net/coaches poll with a record of 31-2. The WIAA Girls Volleyball State Tournament begins next Tuesday with Regional Quarterfinals.
