SIDIE TO BE SENTENCED

The Hatfield man who pleaded guilty to killing his ex-wife could learn his sentence today (Tuesday).
Doug Sidie will be sentenced at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Sidie pleaded guilty to a charge of first-degree intentional homicide for shooting Alisha Sidie in the face, then hiding her body.
He assisted as searchers looked for Alisha for a week, but eventually confessed to the killing and led authorities to her body.
The plea means Sidie could have a chance at parole after a minimum of 20 years in prison, but the judge also has the option of sentencing him to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
