WIAA FOOTBALL DISTRICT PROPOSAL RECEIVES MIXED FEEDBACK

The WIAA presented a new proposal at the area meetings last month to switch from the conference system to the districts system in football. Districts would be based on enrollment first and then region and would be fluid from year to year. Comments received from the meeting held in Black River Falls ranged from waiting until 2011 to implement it to concerns over travel time. Others commented on the fact that they would then be playing schools their own size all year.
