CLARK CO. JOBLESS RATE IS MIDDLE OF THE ROAD

Clark County continues to be in the middle of the pack for unemployment rates.
The Department of Workforce Development released their local unemployment report Wednesday.
Clark County’s rate for August was 8.3%. That’s down from 8.8% in July, but well above last year’s rate of 4.7%.
Clark County has the 37th highest unemployment rate in the state.
Wood County has an unemployment rate of 8.8%, Taylor County has the 12th highest rate in the state, 9.6%. Jackson County’s rate is 7.6%.
