A couple ladies out for a walk in Neillsville last week had a run in with a bear. A stuffed bear, that is.

The Neillsville Police Department responded after one of the women called to report a bear cub in a tree on East 9th street, just north from Kwik Trip.

Upon arrival, it became clear it was just a very real looking stuffed animal that had been wired in the tree.

No one was injured.
