BADGER MENS HOOPS ON ESPN FAMILY OF NETWORKS

The Big Ten conference announced this week that the times and TV listings have been set for the non-conference portion of the 2009-10 men’s basketball season. In addition to the three-game Maui Invitational, Wisconsin will play nine non-conference games in 2009, including eight at the Kohl Center. The Badgers’ non-conference slate will feature at least five games on the ESPN family of networks. All three of Wisconsin’s Maui Invitational games will be on an ESPN affiliate beginning with the opening match-up with Arizona on Nov. 23 at 11 p.m. on ESPN2. The Badgers will also host a pair of nationally televised games as Duke and Marquette invade the Kohl Center in December. UW’s tilt with Duke in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge (Dec. 2) will be on ESPN at 8:15 p.m. and the intra-state rivalry with Marquette will be renewed on Dec. 12 at 4 p.m. on ESPN2. Wisconsin’s non-conference schedule begins Nov. 15 with a 4 p.m. Big Ten Network matinee against IPFW at the Kohl Center.
