ONE SAME SEX COUPLE REGISTERED IN CLARK CO.

Same sex couples haven’t exactly been pounding down the door of the Clark County Clerk’s office.
Beginning Aug. 3, same-sex couples were able to file for domestic partnerships in Wisconsin.
To date, only one same sex couple has registered in Clark County. The two women from the Town of Sherman registered on August 19th.
By filing for a domestic partnership, same-sex couples receive dozens of the same benefits as married couples, such as hospital visitation, medical leave and inheritance rights.
