BUDGET COMMITTEE APPROVES STIMULUS SPENDING

The Legislature's budget committee approved plans to spend over $104 million in stimulus spending Thursday.
$93 million, goes toward local road and bridge projects. That figure includes over $4.6 million to help build a new Stillwater Bridge.
$1.8 million will be spent to replace the 43-year-old car ferry between Cassville and Guttenberg, Iowa.
