An excavating company has agreed to pay $10,000 in fines for unlawfully discharging pollutants into a tributary of the O’Neill Creek.
Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen announced Wednesday that Marawood Sand & Gravel has agreed to pay penalties and costs totaling $10,000. The fines stem from a DNR investigation that found Marawood illegally disposed of sand waste in the tributary. Clark County Circuit Court Judge Jon Counsell approved the agreement Tuesday.
