LOCAL DEPUTY HONORED

Clark County Sheriff's Deputy Dawn Jacobson received the “Traffic Safety Heroism Award" at a ceremony at the Governor's Conference on Highway Safety.
You might remember this story: Jacobson responded to a one vehicle crash on CTH H in the Township of York. Upon arrival, the vehicle was already in flames.
The elderly driver was still in the driver seat of the vehicle. Deputy Jacobson was able to extricate the driver and pull him to safety. In the process, she singed her gloves and jacket.
It’s very possible the man could have died in the fire.
