HUGE VIDEO SCREENS AT COWBOYS STADIUM A CONCERN
Monday, August 24th, 2009 -- 11:07 am
Posted by Larry Hoeser, Sports Director

There will be a conference call for the league’s Competition Committee to discuss the issue of the massive video screens at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, according to a league source, after they were struck repeatedly by punters in warmups Friday night, and also during the preseason game between Dallas and Tennessee.
There will be communication between those parties and with the Cowboys as well to try to resolve the issue. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones balked initially at having to change anything with the boards, as the league already signed off on the matter pre-construction. Given the problems this could pose, however, I’d expect the league to work hard to correct the issue and get the screens raised to where they no longer have as much chance of interfering with the game itself.
