An Eau Claire County teen has been sentenced to two years probation for shooting sheep and horses with a bow and arrow.

Jordan Strasser, 18, of Augusta pleaded guilty Thursday to a felony and misdemeanor count of mistreating an animal.

Strasser told investigators he wanted to see what it felt like to shoot something.

He and a 15-year-old friend drove around the Augusta area in late February and shot at sheep and horses, killing one of each.

Strasser apologized to the judge, saying he has learned from the incident.

The 15-year-old was referred to the juvenile system.
