2009 CCF - DEMO DERBY
Wednesday, August 5th, 2009 -- 2:47 pm Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director
One of the biggest events during the Fair is the Neillsville Men’s Club Demolition Derby on Sunday afternoon.
Dusty Kreitlow with the Men’s Club says the Grandstand show is a bit hit, but takes a lot of work…
"There's about 100 people in our organization, and it takes just about everyone of us to run it," he says, "On a Sunday, there will be about 40 people down in the infield, plus the people working in the beer stand."
"It takes quite a few of us to keep this event going."
The classes have been changed for this year’s show.
"We went to the chain-only, full-size, 1980 and newer class," he explains. The prize money has been increased to $1,200.
The also have a mini class, truck class and the powder puff division.
The Demo Derby will be Sunday at 1 p.m. in front of the Grandstand.
