EXPRESS DOWN THE WOODCHUCKS

After having their 4 game winning streak snapped on Sunday night by the Wisconsin
Woodchucks, the Eau Claire Express got back in the win column thanks to a come from
behind victory last night over the Woodchucks 4-3. With the score tied at 3 in the bottom of the eighth, Kole Calhoun (Arizona St.) led off the inning with a triple and with the infield drawn in, that set the stage for Pinckard. Pinckard took a 1-0 pitch and hit it to left field for an RBI double. The Express and Woodchucks completed four straight games with the home team winning each game. The win kept the Express in the hunt for the overall best record and the loss all but eliminated the Woodchucks from the second half championship contention. The win coupled with a La Crosse Loggers loss moves the Express to 1.5 games back of the Loggers in the overall standings. Eau Claire is off today before a big game in LaCrosse tomorrow night.
