Posted by Riley Hebert-News Director

Another hunting dog has apparently been killed by a wolf in Clark County.

According to Sheriff’s Department records, a man called authorities Sunday morning to report his hound dog was killed by a wolf in the Clark County Forest in the Town of Mentor.

The incident happened just off of USH 10, near the intersection with Bald Peek Avenue.

If confirmed, it would be the third hunting dog killed by wolves in Clark County in recent weeks.

No other information was available.

Also, on Saturday, a farmer near Greenwood reported a calf was killed by a wolf.

The DNR is investigating both of these incidents.
