YOUTH BASEBALL & SOFTBALL AWARDS PRESENTED

The Neillsville Recreation Department held their annual "Awards Picnic" for youth summer baseball and softball this past Monday. Over 150 boys and girls received certificates for their participation. In boys baseball, The Minor League crowned the Giants as champs with a 7-3 record. For the girls, the Junior Slowpitch Softball League crowned the Royals as champions with a sparkling 11-1 record. Most Improved Players winners in the various leagues included Madison Betlaf, Alexandria Nulph, Mariah Bushman, Megan Crothers, Brittanee Roehl, Nathan Weiers, Jared Dayton, Chase Ehlers and Phoenix Herricks. Winners of the prestigious Major Leaguer Award were Jenny Lindner, Katelyn Crothers, Allie Pfeiffer, Taylor Gleisner, Hannah Marsch, Anthony Meshnick, Steve Edleson, Ricky Nelson and Myles McDonald. The Girls Fastpitch Softball teams were also recognized.
