ACCIDENT AT NEILLSVILLE PARK SENDS BOY TO HOSPITAL

A five-year-old child was severely injured at Cliff’s Park in Neillsville Friday night.

According to the police report, the child was apparently playing with friends at the park, when a large, metal drag, used to level the infield, tipped over and fell on the boy. The drag had been leaning against a park fence.

He was taken by ambulance to Memorial Medical Center and then airlifted to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield with a substantial neck wound.

UPDATE: As of Monday morning, the boy is listed in good condition at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
