CONTENTIOUS MEETING?

The Clark County Board will have a very busy meeting next week.
According to the draft agenda we received Friday, there will be a number of potentially controversial resolutions up for a vote.
The board will take up a resolution to amend the budget to spend $300,000 to build a new cold storage facility. In-year budget amendments require a 2/3-majority vote.
Separate Personnel Committee resolutions would raise the mileage reimbursement rate from .42-cents to .55-cents per mile; and the meal reimbursements to $8 for breakfast, $12 for lunch and $15 for supper.
A Planning and Zoning Committee resolution seeks approval to update and present a comprehensive plan to the board.
And the Economic Development Committee is expected to seek an additional $50,000 for the Economic Development Corporation.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Courthouse.
